What a great weekend with Mom – definitely not tear free, but she really enjoyed seeing Mary, Mike, and Ann. I will let Mike and Mary share their own anecdotes of visits with Mom this weekend…but I can’t help share a couple things that happened while I was there.
Physical Therapy: Mom walked more than twenty steps Sunday using a walker. Then Shelley, the Pt had her get up out of the wheelchair, pivot and sit down. I am including two links to videos of Mom… the first one is Mom walking some steps ( "A Spring in Her Step") and the second is what we call the “Grandma Push” video. Listen closely to that one because her sense of humor comes out. The physical therapist instructs Mom to push up on her hands…Pat encourages her with “Push, Push, Push and she responds back to them with something quite funny.
